Full – Time Registered Nurse – RN Float

Duties:

  • Perform assessment of assigned patients and derive nursing diagnoses based on assessment data.
  • Plan nursing interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to resolve current problems or prevent potential problems.
  • Provide teaching to patients/families to assist in the patients’ comfort as needed.
  • Provide emotional support to patients/families in a manner that fosters independence and affirms existing strengths.
  • Assess the need for home health aide services.
  • Assess and provide pain management strategies to assist with the patient’s comfort.
  • Promote working in a team environment.

Full-Time RN Team Manager – Ohio Team*

Duties:

Full-time Float Office Assistant
(Must be able to travel to offices in a 5-county area)

Duties:

The Float Office Assistant is responsible for general office and clerical functions as well as interacting with the public through phone and in-office contact at all Hospice of Huntington, Inc. satellite offices and other duties at the main office. This position will be scheduled at any of the Hospice of Huntington offices, as needed by her/his supervisor. The Float Office Assistant initiates the opening and closing of the office during business hours; turns off the answering service at the beginning of the business day and activates the answering service at the close of each business day; disseminates the mail; receives, logs in, and notifies staff of mail or packages received; maintains administrative files. This position will also be responsible for cleaning the satellite office from which he/she works. Traveling will also be necessary to meet the staffing needs of the five county areas in which we have offices. The Office Float will assist the Human Resources Department as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associates degree or comparable experience; four-year degree, preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel to offices in a five-county area.
  • Must be proficient in computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates highly effective communication skills orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with little supervision.

Full-time Hospice Aide for Home Program

Duties:

  • Performs and/or assists the patient with personal care activities as prescribed on the Hospice Aide plan of care.
  • Performs and/or assists the patient/family with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Reports patient status changes to the interdisciplinary team as needed.
  • Maintains current and accurate documentation.
  • Complies with policies and procedures of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.
  • Protects the confidentiality of private health care information of patients.
  • Represents the services and philosophy of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.

Personal Qualifications:

  • High school graduate is preferred.
  • Proof of nursing assistant certification.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
  • Current driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Philosophy compatible with the hospice concept.

*May be required to work at EDJHH, as needed.
*May include weekend hours.

Registered Nurse – Hospice House Full-Time (36 Hours)
