Duties:

(TLC Caregiver) performs in-home services that are all non-medical services to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. The following is a list of services that TLC Caregivers may routinely perform; however, it is not exclusive of other reasonable requests:

Hospice of Huntington is looking to hire a Full-time (30 hours) Cook at Hospice Care Inpatient Unit.

  • Three 10 hours shifts per week
  • Rotating weekends

Duties:

  • Prepare and plate food for patients
  • Keep kitchen in a neat, clean and healthy working environment.
  • Receive food and stock, monitor deliveries, place food or stock in the proper areas.

Position Scope: The Maintenance Technician will work under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator and Chief Operating Officer on an as-needed basis. The employee will complete duties as assigned. The employee may be assigned at either the EDJHH or the Hospice office building.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities as assigned.
  • May be expected to make basic repairs.
  • May order and distribute supplies as directed
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field related to maintenance.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Communicates availability as directed
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

  • May be assigned to either the EDJHH or the Hospice office building.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably health care facility
  • Experience with maintenance medical supplies in a health care facility preferred.
  • Experience working with HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations

Duties:

The Float Office Assistant is responsible for general office and clerical functions as well as interacting with the public through phone and in-office contact at all Hospice of Huntington, Inc. satellite offices and other duties at the main office.  This position will be scheduled at any of the Hospice of Huntington offices, as needed by her/his supervisor. The Float Office Assistant initiates the opening and closing of the office during business hours; turns off the answering service at the beginning of the business day and activates the answering service at the close of each business day; disseminates the mail; receives, logs in, and notifies staff of mail or packages received; maintains administrative files. This position will also be responsible for cleaning the satellite office from which he/she works. Traveling will also be necessary to meet the staffing needs of the five-county areas in which we have offices – Cabell, Lincoln, Mason, Wayne, and Lawrence. The Office Float will assist the Human Resources Department as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

Associate degree or comparable experience; four year degree, preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to travel to offices in a five-county area: Cabell, Lincoln, Mason, Wayne, and Lawrence
  • Must be proficient in computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills

The Quality Improvement and Education Coordinator (QI Coordinator) is responsible for education, all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities and Infection Control and Prevention within all facets of the organization. Serves as the lead of the QAPI Committee; other responsibilities include keeping the organization up to date with CMS, relevant federal, state, local, and all accrediting agencies, and accrediting body standards and requirements, providing education as needed; takes part in the assessment, development and evaluation of education and training activities that enhance performance, professional development, and continuing competence of hospice employees as well as participating in the development and execution of innovative education programs and initiatives that advance the mission of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.  Keeps policies and procedures updated ensuring all applicable in-services, studies and related meetings are accomplished.  The QI Coordinator will work at the EDJHH or Homecare division as assigned.  Responsible for quality and education programming in all service lines of Hospice of Huntington, Inc.  (Hospice, palliative, caregiving and adult day care) under the Direction of VP of Clinical Services.

 

Position Qualfications:

  • Knowledge of hospice regulatory requirements and accreditation standards (Medicare and JCAHO), and experience with licensure and accreditation survey.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel and Word, PowerPoint, Crystal Reports and Hospice Software, Palliative software, caregiving software  and other service line software systems.
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Possesses interpersonal skills to promote interdisciplinary collaboration  and effective communication and professional presentation skills
