The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House was built in 2006 and designed to be a home away from home when you or your loved one needs care that cannot be provided at home for pain, symptom control or when the caregiver needs a short break from caregiving.
The first thing you notice about the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House is the beautiful setting along the Ohio River and the colorful gardens. As you walk in the door you are struck by the quiet, the absence of loudspeakers or machine alarms beeping on and off. You soon realize that this is a very special inpatient setting.
When you arrive, your loved one is immediately settled in a private room with a registered nurse and hospice aide making sure that doctor’s orders are followed until your loved one is comfortable. Within the first-hour family members often comment that there is a visible peace that surrounds their loved one.
We also cater to families with spaces to visit, pray or find refreshments. Our professional staff is always available to answer your questions and to reassure you.
